Vortex Sutra welcomes original poetry from emerging and established poets around the world. We publish work that is honest, vivid, emotionally alive, and rooted in the power of language.
Selected poems may be considered for digital publication, featured poet spotlights, community collections, and future anthology projects.
What We Accept
- Poetry only: Free verse, Spoken word, Prose poetry, Narrative poetry, Experimental poetry, Haiku, Sonnets
- Multilingual poetry with English translation when possible
Submission Guidelines
- Submit 1 to 5 original poems at a time.
- Poems must be your own work.
- Previously unpublished work is preferred, but previously shared work may be considered if you still hold the rights.
- Include a short poet bio of 50 to 100 words.
- Include your name, email, city/state or country, and social media handle if you want it published.
Editorial Review
Every submission is reviewed with care and respect for the poet’s voice. Selections are based on originality, craft, emotional impact, clarity, authenticity, and alignment with Vortex Sutra’s literary mission. Submitting does not guarantee publication.
Rights & Copyright
Poets keep full copyright ownership of their work. If accepted, you grant Vortex Sutra permission to publish your work in digital, print, promotional, and archival formats connected to Vortex Sutra publications. You may continue to publish or share your work elsewhere.
Response Time
Please allow 4 to 8 weeks for review. Due to submission volume, we may not be able to provide individual feedback on every poem.
